Roku UK Channel Store - Weekly RoundUp #4

Hi, everyone !!

Has it really been seven days since the last 'Weekly RoundUp', already? Then, I guess it's true what they say... time really does fly when you're having fun !! Fortunately for us, though, there were a few Roku developers out there who were (possibly) having a little less fun because they were too busy working on some NEW CHANNELS for us to add to our UK Roku boxes. Yes, things have been a little more productive during the past week than during the preceding one. That's for sure !!

Meanwhile, as the Roku developers beavered away, there was yet another influx of new readers for this blog. Among the countries sending all those new visitors our way were Colombia, Guadeloupe, Switzerland, Argentina, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Barbados & Italy... to name but a handful. So, before we go any further, let's extend a warm welcome to all the lovely people from those countries. Not, forgetting, of course, to offer a quick SHOUT OUT to all the other folk who have visited these pages of late, as well as giving a BIG "Welcome back" to all of our regular readers.

To each and every one of you, we'd like to say... "Thanks for stopping by" and we look forward to your continued visits over the coming weeks & months. It's always a pleasure to have you visit !!

Now, if you've already seen any of the previous 'Weekly RoundUp' posts, featured on this blog, then you will know the sort of thing to expect from this current installment. If, however, you are new to this blog (or are, perhaps, only an occasional visitor) and have (somehow) missed the previous three posts in this series, you can catch up on everything using the search label 'Weekly RoundUp'.

Once you are all up to speed, feel free to continue reading this post for details of the very latest Roku channels 2013 has produced to expand the Roku UK channel list still further. Essentially, what follows will be a summary of ALL the NEW CHANNELS on Roku United Kingdom that have been released, via the "Official" Roku UK Channel Store, during the past week. So, if you're busy compiling a Roku channels UK list, you're not going to want to miss these !!

As per the Roku UK Channel Store - Weekly RoundUp #2, there were FOUR NEW CHANNELS added to the lineup of the "Official" Roku UK Channel Store this time around. These latest additions, to the ever-growing list of Roku channels UK users can access via the channel store, provided new content in the Religion & Spirituality, Special Interest and Music genres (i.e. categories).

In keeping with previous installments from the 'Weekly RoundUp' series, details of these new channels have all been listed below, together with links to obtain further information {by clicking on the channel name(s) beneath the channel icon(s) pictured} and to read a 'Roku Guide' review (where available) for each one:-

POSITIVE PEAK RADIO & TV................................................COST: FREE [Roku Guide Review]

PLEASE NOTE: Although this channel is a new addition to the "Official" Roku UK Channel Store, as of the update to Ver. 3.0 on 2nd April 2013, it has been featured (in it's earlier versions) as part of the "Music" category in the "Official" Roku USA Channel Store since July 2011. Consequently, the 'Roku Guide Review' (above) mentions several channels that are no longer included in the current version. For your information, the Surfside 1640 channel has now morphed into Aarika Radio and you will also find that The Animal has since become the Upstate Local Radio Network (ULRN-AM). The third change you will notice is that iCountry 1700, formerly billed as "Carolina Country", has now been replaced by A1A Meditation Radio. Only Abigail Radio, A1R Psychic Talk Radio and the A1R Psychic Archive radio stations remain from the original incarnation (as featured on Roku Guide). For more "behind the scenes" info and details of the latest updates to the Positive Peak Radio & TV channel on your Roku player, I would recommend bookmarking the Official Positive Peak Blog.

SENIOR CARE TV...................................................................COST: FREE [Roku Guide Review]

SOUND REASON.....................................................................COST: FREE [Roku Guide Review]

BIBLE TEACHERS BROADCASTING NETWORK.............COST: FREE [Roku Guide Review]

So, there you have it... FOUR NEW CHANNELS this week and, best of all, they are ALL FREE and can be added to your Roku players right now (if you so choose) either by navigating to the individual channel descriptions in the "Official" Roku USA Channel Store, via the links (above), and then clicking on the green "+ Add Channel" button or, by entering the 'Roku Channel Store' using your Roku player and then selecting / adding the channel(s) from the relevant genre (i.e. category).

Anyway, that's about it for the current 'Weekly RoundUp'. You can, of course, expect the next installment in this series to be posted right here, on or around Saturday 13th April 2013, so be sure to visit this blog again for that (if not before). In the meantime, you can keep up with all of the UK Roku action (as it happens) throughout the coming week by following the Official Twitter Feed for this blog: @ukrokuchannels where up-to-the-minute information on all things Roku-related, here in the UK, will be posted on an (almost) daily basis.

Thanks, as always, for reading but for now...

That's all folks !!
