A MummyVision Guide To Hallowe'en On Roku - Day #2 A VERITABLE (PICTURE) HOUSE OF HORRRORS !!!

Welcome back, Boils & Ghouls !!

The 2013 Countdown To Hallowe'en continues and so too does my month-long blogathon that I'm publishing under the collective banner of "A MummyVision Guide To Hallowe'en On Roku". This series of posts began yesterday with details of a Hallowe'en ScreamSaver, complete with a spooky soundtrack, to provide a suitably chilling atmosphere as you count down the days to Hallowe'en. Today we continue with something much more visual but still equally spine-tingling and sure to have you cowering under the cushions on the sofa (or beneath the pillows, if you happen to be watching in bed!). You simply can't get through the Hallowe'en season without watching a horror movie or two... it just wouldn't be right! So, to get you started on your fiendishly frightening film fest, here's a dedicated horror movie channel that you can add to your Roku players, if you haven't already done so...

As you might expect, this horror movie based Roku channel can be found in the "Film & TV" genre (i.e. category) of the "Official" Roku UK Channel Store (or under "Movies & TV" in USA). It is filled with amazing public domain classic horror films, from masterful directors such as Alfred Hitchcock and Roger Corman. The movies feature many of the great actors from the halcyon days of the genre, such as Bela Lugosi, Boris Karloff, Lon Chaney & more. What better way to pass the time between my daily doses of Roku-related Hallowe'en horror in "A MummyVision Guide To Hallowe'en On Roku" than watching some vintage horror movies as featured on the "House of Horrors" Roku channel ?!!

If I tell you that Fling Soft LLC, who are credited in the channel description for this channel on the Official Roku Website, are also responsible for the 'Movie Vault' channel on Roku, it should come as no surprise to you that all of the content on 'House of Horrors' is also available on 'Movie Vault'. This means that, IF YOU HAVE ALREADY PURCHASED 'MOVIE VAULT', then  YOU DO NOT NEED TO BUY 'HOUSE OF HORRORS' as you will gain nothing by doing this.

Meanwhile, if you need to contact the developer, you can do so via their Twitter Feed: @flingsoftguys or else, get social with them via: Fling Soft LLC (Facebook). You can also find out more about the additional platforms available for the 'House of Horrors' channel by visiting the Fling Soft LLC website page for the channel, which can be found VIA THIS LINK !!

For those of you who'd like to give this channel a go by adding it to the Hallowe'en entertainment on your Roku player(s) but are, perhaps, unable to access the Channel Store on your Roku at this time... you can take care of things now by LOGGING-IN to your Online Roku Account, scrolling down to the 'Manage Account' section, and using the "Add a Private Channel" option so that when you do have access to your Roku player, the 'House of Horrors' channel will be there waiting for you to watch !! All you must do to achieve this, is to type the following access code into the data entry field and click the blue 'Add Channel' button:-

ACCESS CODE:- houseofhorrors

PLEASE NOTE:- That this channel REQUIRES a ONE-OFF PAYMENT of £1.49 (or USD $1.99) in order to be fully functional. If you already have a payment method associated with your Roku Account, then you're good to go and can add the channel straight away via the Roku Channel Store on your Roku player, or through your online Roku Account. Those of you without a valid payment method connected to your Roku account can still log in and add the channel to your Roku Home Screen without paying, BUT you will not be able to watch any of the content until you have paid.

Anyway, that's pretty much all there is to it, except to point out that the 'House of Horrors' channel has been given an average score of "3.5 out of 5" from 186 ratings (so far) in the channel store description on the Official Roku Website. That alone should be reason enough to give it a try !!

Having said that, if this particular Hallowe'en / Horror themed Roku channel was not to your liking then FEAR NOT because there will be another one featured in tomorrow's post, continuing the month-long blogathon that is: "A MummyVision Guide To Hallowe'en On Roku"which will bring you more devilish delights EACH AND EVERY DAY from now UNTIL HALLOWE'EN and when you're done with this blog, don't forget to visit the other contributors to the 2013 Countdown To Hallowe'en and see what Hallowe'en treats they have in store for you between now and 31st October !!

Fangs again for stopping by !!
