Roku UK Channel Store - Weekly RoundUp #121

Hi, everyone !!

Knowing, as I did, that I would be absent when the regular publishing deadline for this particular 'Weekly RoundUp' post came to pass, I thought long & hard as to whether I should just skip this current instalment altogether or try to find a workaround. Ultimately, since these posts have now become an historical document (of sorts) as to precisely which week (almost) any given "public" channel on UK Roku devices was added to the "Official" Roku UK Channel Store, I didn't want to "muddy" those waters by lumping the current crop of new channels in with those from the following week. Consequently, I've decided to make use of Google's "Schedule" feature which they have (rather thoughtfully) built-in to Blogger for occasions such as this! Essentially, the list you see here when this post is first published will comprise only those channels which were added up to & including Thursday 2nd July 2015 with the remaining new additions (subsequently listed in the "Official" Roku UK Channel Store on either Friday 3rd or Saturday 4th July) to follow sometime next week. In any event, the remaining channels and the overall total of new additions (by genre) plus any "missing" links to channel store descriptions and/or 'Roku Guide' reviews will have been made known to you before the next 'Weekly RoundUp' post on Saturday 11th July 2015.

For now, here's a list of what was made available prior to my departing for an much-deserved and hard-earned long weekend break with my nearest and dearest:-

BOWHUNTING.COM...........................................................COST: FREE [Roku Guide Review]

PLEASE NOTE:- That, due to the fact this 'Bowhunting.com' channel was previously released via the "Official" Roku USA Channel Store sometime in October 2014, you will not find it amongst the channels listed in the "New" category of the"Official" Roku UK Channel Store - where you would normally expect to find all the latest additions to the Roku UK channel lineup - and, instead, you will have to look to the "Sports" category to locate it.

HELPFUL HINT:- Once you have entered the "Sports" category of the Roku UK Channel Store, simply PRESS THE "DOWN" AND "RIGHT" ARROW DIRECTIONAL BUTTONS on your Roku remote TO NAVIGATE TO WHERE 'BOWHUNTING.COM' IS LOCATED in the list of Roku channels for that category. As of the date of this post, on my Roku devices, it is listed at number 8 of 84 channels in the "Sports" genre. Of course, it's precise position in the list may change in future but, for now, that should help you find it more quickly than you may have otherwise. In any event, you will not find it listed in the "New" category, despite being "new" to UK Roku devices this week! ;-)

7EVEN.TV..............................................................................COST: FREE [Roku Guide Review]

PUZZLE ART [N.B. 'Roku 3' ONLY]...................................COST: FREE [Roku Guide Review]

IQ TEST EVOLUTION HD [N.B. 'Roku 3' ONLY]...........................COST: FREE [Roku Guide Review]

FLIPFLOP [N.B. 'Roku 3' ONLY]..........................................COST: FREE [Roku Guide Review]

TREASURES [N.B. 'Roku 3' ONLY]...........COST: £0.69 (ONE-OFF PAYMENT) [Roku Guide Review]

N.B. CHANNEL ICON STILL TO FOLLOW -
NOT AVAILABLE AT TIME OF PUBLISHING

AFRICA TV.....................................................COST: £2.99 (MONTHLY) [Roku Guide Review]

PLEASE NOTE:- That since this channel does not currently feature in the Roku (USA) Channel Store, the link above is for the Official Website of 'GlobalBox TV' as quoted in the channel description from the "Official" Roku UK Channel Store. Having said that, there is (currently) very little to be gained by visiting their website which is still (it appears) very much in it's infancy... though, hopefully, this will be addressed as time goes on. Nevertheless, as the only real point of reference for the 'Africa TV' channel on UK Roku devices, I felt it was important to include it here for the benefit of those interested.

ALSO:- No doubt due (again) to the fact that the 'Africa TV' channel has not (yet?) been added to the "Official" Roku USA Channel Store, there is no 'Roku Guide' review available. If and when this situation changes, I will (of course) add the relevant "missing" link(s) to this post.

FINE TUNED UNIVERSE....................................................COST: FREE [Roku Guide Review]

NATURE THEME..........................COST: £1.49 (ONE-OFF PAYMENT) [Roku Guide Review]

PINECREST............................................................................COST: FREE [Roku Guide Review]

POLYGANIC..........................................................................COST: FREE [Roku Guide Review]

PTL TELEVISION NETWORK.............................................COST: FREE [Roku Guide Review]

*********************************************

Anyhow, like it or not, that is your lot for now... with the remaining new channel additions from this past week, plus any "missing" links to channel store descriptions and/or 'Roku Guide' reviews, to follow once we return from our long weekend away. As I said before, this will most likely mean you having to wait until Wednesday 8th  July (at the earliest) for the "missing" info to be added. Apologies for any inconvenience this may cause you in the meantime but, with the annual 4th July celebrations in full swing this weekend, there may not be too many more details to add in any case - on account of most U.S. minds being focussed elsewhere leading-up to that particular "holiday"... speaking of which, "Happy 4th" to all Roku owners in the USA and to those who, for one reason or another, are (like us) celebrating in another Roku "region" this year - have a great weekend! ;-)

Until the next time, then...

That's all folks !!
